Entertainment Center
Low entertainment center with component and media storage. Custom design cut into the top. Maple plywood, dimensional Poplar, ball-bearing drawer slides, fall flap hinges, and cabinet hardware.
I struggled with this project for years. The unit is huge and unwieldy, and ended up slightly out of square. I also made an odd decision to let the doors open vertically rather than horizontally. A bunch of non-traditional choices like this as well as a number of finishing problems led to a lot of motivational issues.
After a few years of living with all of my electronics and movie/game libraries in boxes, I finally got sick of it and finished the damned thing.
